Sir (Engr.)Oyedeji Olasunkanmi Olajubuthe Asiwaju of Ilare Kingdom was born to two renowned educationists, the late Prof.(Chief) Oludare Olajubu, the Sukoti of Ilare and Chief (Mrs) Bolanle Olajubu, the Iyalode of Methodist Church Ilare on December 24th, 1965, in Ilare. He attended University of llorin where he studied Civil Engineering and graduated in 1987.
Engineer Oyedeji Olasunkanmi Olajubu worked for several years with Solel Boneh Group of
Companies and rose to the position of Technical Manager before he resigned to join the Tertiary
Education Trust Fund, between March 2001 and November 2007. He again resigned to establish
his own business which include Three ‘O’s Nigeria Limited, a construction Company, The Jewel’s Appartment Ltd, an hospitality outfit, Best Three Consultants, an Engineering consulting firm, amongst others.
Sir (Engr.) Oyedeji is a qualified Civil Engineer who is a registered member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), The Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), the Nigeria Institute of Civil Engineering as well as a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Public Administrators. He is the Asiwaju of Ilare Kingdom in Osun State, the Basorun of Molade land in Ibadan as well as the Gbobaniyi of Otan-Ile in Osun State.
Sir (Engr.) Oyedeji is a deeply religious man whose contribution to the Methodist Church of Nigeria has seen him being made a knight of John Wesley (KJW) by the church. His immense contribution towards the growth of the church has seen other awards like Friend of Diocese of Methodist Church Nigeria, Ifaki Diocese, Fellow of the Diocese, Faithfull of God (FOG) awards being bestowed on him. Sir (Engr.) Oyedeji is a Philanthropist who has given much to the Society. He has donated 4 Nos. 250 seaters fully furnished Chapel to the Methodist Church Nigeria. He has also made several donations of musical instruments as well as rendering financial assistance in form of cash and trainings to local churches and ministries all over Nigeria.
He has received other awards such as Meritorious Award by the Society of Engineers, Award of Community development and support for education by the Ilare Student Union, Award of Excellence by the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees, Award of Philanthropist of the year by the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Award of Excellence by the Nigerian Institute of Building Ekiti State Chapter, Award of Meritorious services by the Federation of Otan Ile Students Union, Obokun Local Government, Osun State, He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow with an award of Dedicated Humanitarian Services by the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
Some of his other Contributions include the donation of modern post office in Ilare, construction of roof carcass for the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Ado-Ekiti Chapter, building and donation of 12 cubicle Lavatory to the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, donation of relief materials to various Orphanage homes, provision of 100 chairs & tables to the staff school of the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti and Provision of Scholarship facility to various students of higher institutions of learning.
Sir (Engr.) Oyedeji is married to Chief (Mrs) Olufunke Mercy Olajubu and the marriage is blessed with three children, Oyindamola, Oladeji and Oloruntoba.
